Blade MCX2 Helicopter Transmitter Included

After taking a step back from my first collective pitch fight attempts I took my repair budget and I got this little indoor bird (BNF). Bound it to my DX6i, which is a very simple process, and with a bit of trimming it was off in the air. Very easy to fly, very stable hovering, incredible performance for a nano coax and so easy on the eye. For my purpose, the perfect trainer and extremely forgiving. Crashing frequently on the first few batteries did not harm it a bit, neither took the furniture it hit any scratches. A pice of beautiful engineering with only one minor drawback, the battery charger does not come with an AC adapter and must be charged from AA batteries. Cheap considering the price point of the package, and expensive considering you get only about 20 charges out of a set of batteries. Well, the fun you will have with this incredible little heli will get you over the extra investment of the adapter as you will want a second battery anyway to keep it up in the air.

Have fun.

  1. Ok, so I've purchased 2 Syma S107s, a Blade MCX, a Blade MSR, and this Blade MCX2 all in the last 3 weeks. I can tell you with certainty that this is the most stable, consistent, and resilient of all the Blade micros. While not nearly as sturdy as the Syma, it will take a beating. It's easy to control, and quite quick for a Coaxial heli. The MCX was a definite upgrade from the Syma from a speed and performance standpoint, but isn't as sturdy as the MCX2 and not even close to the Syma. From a speed and performance perspective:

The MCX is 2-3 times faster and 10 times more responsive than the Syma
The MCX2 is 2 times faster than the MCX
    and
The MSR is an angry hornet on crack. Buy spare parts. or a spare MSR.

I'm liking the MCX2 for indoor use. It's a blast!

  2. I had read several reviews of the Blad mCX2 and thought it sounded like a good starter heli. all I can say is wow what a fun toy. I am already looking to upgrade because this little guy is so much fun.

I purchased several batteries at the same time and can fly for my entire lunch break and not get tired of flying this little guy. I can say that I have had some minor issues with the motors coming out of alignment after a hard crash, but they are easy to put back in place and I need to glue them in a little better to stop this from happening, that or quit falling out of the sky. I haven't had to adjust them in the last 5 flights because I am getting better.

Hope you have fun with this.
    Cheers.

  3. These things are addicting! Like most people I started with the $25.00 Syma S107, then I upgraded from the S107 3 channel to a 4 channel which adds the ability to sway left and right. Words can't describe the fun feeling of playing with these things. I recommend you start with a 3 channel, then immediately upgrade to this one! Just Google Blade MCX2 and read reviews.

  4. I've had this copter for four days and it is amazing! I've crashed it a bunch and the rotors just don't break! much better than those air hogs ones (crashed it once and it hasn't worked since). They are great for kids 14 and up because they are much more advanced than those cheap ones(3 channel vs 6 channel). these are strictly indoor helicopters, they aren't powerful or big enough for windy conditions. batteries take about 30 minutes to charge and about 10 minutes of flight realistically. also buy the extra battery it's nice not having to wait as long to fly. I personally am ready to take it up a notch but that's because I tend to be natural at r/c stuff. I love it!

  6. The larger battery gives it more power and speed than the MCX 1. I also really like the lights. They aren't needed but my dog and son like to watch it fly around the living room. Takes a lot of patience and some space to master. I haven't crashed it yet but seems sturdy (for a vehicle that has to use lightweight materials).

  7. I have owned this for a couple of weeks now. It is fun and easy to fly. It will hover with ease. I use a Spectrum 5ex bind to the 5 in 1 board. It is good for small rooms but will be better with larger rooms. The reason for this is that it does move forward at a good pace so you have to watch and turn it quickly before you hit the wall. Happy flying!!
