A Kid's Review

Review on
Traxxas RTR Slash 2WD Short Course Racing Truck

This is one of the best Short Course trucks that I have ever driven primarily because of its durability and I've used many including the LOSI XX4 WORLDS EDITION, and the TEAM ASSOCIATED RC10 T3. It is so durable that if you run it into a curb intentionally, it doesn't even scratch. Yes, I know that the price can seem expensive, but its ability to crash into curbs and not break in half, it's totally worth it.

I would recommend this truck for a beginner, like a son or grandson. Like I said, durability is at the top of the line for this truck. The price range for these puppies runs around about $200 -$300.

If you take care of this monster, the electronics, engine, chassis, it WILL last most likely forever. I have had mine for 3 years, and it works just fine.
One drawback- after paying all of that money, this car does not include battery, which is $20, and the charger, (I recommend getting the HITEC X1 AC PLUS charger, which is $75.)

Lastly, I give this truck all 5 stars for FUN! WARNING: If you are new to RC, once you start to drive this truck, YOU WILL GET ADDICTED!!!
I hope you enjoy this RC truck as much as I love it!!!

  1. I am thinking of getting into the RC world and I am kind of torn between two different trucks. Either the Traxxas Slash 2WD system of the Helion 4X4 system for the same price. I like the ability of 4X4, but Traxxas has a better name and I've never heard of Helion. I looked at both of them today at Hobbytown and I like them both. It would be my first truck and I would want to eventually upgrade it down the road. But for now, stock is fine with me. I would only really wanna race it at the indoor track up the street and not much outside. I did watch reviews of both of them on youtube and I still don't know what I should go with!

  4. I would like to get a rc car and have heard tht traxxas is a good brand. I like the traxxas slash but i dont want to spend a lot of money so i thought the traxxas slash brushed version would be good. I was just wondering if any one had any pros and cons of it and if its good. If not what would be a good car or brand of them. Plz I need help.

  6. Ok so im 15 years old iand i just got into RC vehicles and recently bought myself a traxxas slash 5803. I really want to get into the hobby but its just so complicated, and i have so many questions but i havent found anyone or any website that could help me and iv looked and looked and looked. I want to upgrade my car but idk what to get. Every time i turn my car it flips over unless i turn it slowly. I feel like the car is too high off the ground and i think its the shocks but i dont know what kind to get. And also the tires. I have the tires that came with the car but i want tires that will grip more to hard dirt tracks because every time i take my car to an indoor track, it slides too much. Can someone plz help
