Read First Before Buy Duratrax Onyx 245 Charger Balancing
This think is great. It is extremely easy to change between the different battery types NiMH, Lipo, NiCad, LiFe etc... Changing the charging rate is easy, just hold down the settings button for a sec. It comes with 2 different types of balance boards (2x of each) and 3 different types of main charge leads (again 2x of each) Deans connectors, Traxxas high current connecters and one other which I don't use/forgot the name.
It gives mAh that has been put into the battery while charging, amount of time it has been charging, current amperage being applied to the battery, and another nice thing is when a lipo is plugged into the balance board it will read each individual cell voltage. Oh and also the total battery voltage (not just for lipo)
It beeps when done as most chargers do but it isn't blow your ear drums out loud like some, just a pleasantish beeping for about 10 seconds and can be stopped by pushing a button.
It has a nice blue backlight and is very easy to see. I've never felt the charger to be hot because of the generous sized fan that blows air like nothin'.It is also a compact and maneuverable size. Not a big deal but it has those nice rubberesque feet that keep it from slipping which I like anyway :)
It is AC/DC compatible with alligator clips with rubber sleeves on the DC part. The AC cord is approx 3ft.
Overall I would highly recommend this to anybody that needs a good charger with two independent outputs to get them batteries charged for the next run!!
