I bought this to use for my ParkZone Radian plane. This was the recommended receiver. It fits great in the area provided in the plane (even some other 6ch receivers from Spektrum will not). I cut a small piece of foam to wedge between one end of the receiver and the plane to make sure it stays in place.
The antennas are much longer than I expected, but I found that you should NOT trim them.
The antennas should be installed at 90 degrees from each other for optimal performance. I took the long antenna forward into the nose and looped the end so it would fit, and then turned and looped the shorter one to go across the width of the plane near the receiver. I taped them in place so they won't move.
I have used the DX6i transmitter with it and not had any issues. Range seems very good. Definitely satisfied so far.

This is about one of the best made receivers out there. I crash a few planes but this receiver still works. 6 channels is about all you need for sport flying, it will handle your basic controls plus extras. I installed it in my latest airplane, a Cessna Corvalis. The 2 extra channels were used for flaps (switched for gear) and lighting (Aux outlet). Great value.

This Spektrum is not a toy. This is a brilliantly engineering 2.4 ghz 6 channel receiver. Long range and extremely reliable. I highly recommend.
BalasHapusI have alway had positive results using Spektrum receivers and haven't had any flight failures so far. I purchased this one specifically for a Landers RC F9F-8 Cougar electric jet with EDF. So far I've purshased a lot of top gear to assemble my Cougar, being my first Electric Ducted Fan, and don't want to have issues while in flight.
BalasHapusThis will be my first EDF and I will have to adjust to flying this because of the quick response. All my other rc planes are flying with different model Spektrum receivers. So far I've been able to come home from the field without any major incident.
great receiver bought this for my airfield F/15 jet. receiver is nice and small fits in tight spot on my aircraft. bound great to my DX6i Tx works great could not be happier with it. has great range I tested it at about 300 yards give or take a few yards and worked great. will buy more as I need them shipped and received on time.
