Best Review on UMX MiG 15 DF BNF
Despite its small size, the UMX MiG 15 is probably the nicest RC plane I own-- it sounds great flying over head, is really easy to see because of the red colouring, and flies like it's on rails thanks to the built in gyros. It's fast enough to be thrilling, but also slow enough that you can fly it just about anywhere; a small soccer field is more than enough room.
It's pretty tough as far as store-bought RC planes go, and extremely tough as far as the UMX series go. Rough landings aren't a problem for this plane at all. The nose is structurally quite thick and, unlike most of the other UMX planes, the landing gear is very solid. I've landed it on pavement, snow, and grass without any real damage. That said, it does go fast enough to destroy itself should you inadvertantly fly in to something.
I would definately recommend this plane to anyone who wants to get their feet wet with a jet, or who wants a really fun and convenient plane to fly in a parking lot or a playground. I would NOT recommend this plane to a beginner-- it's too fast.
I saw one of my fellow club members and I knew I had to check out Amazon to see if they had it for sale. I made the purchase and two days later I'm charging the batteries and planning my first flight.
BalasHapusWell, the weather here in Florida has been stormy and very windy. I finally got a chance to fly in between jobs. Snuck to an open field and proceeded to fly. This thing is fast and very sensitive to controls as compared to my other flyers. I'm clearly not experienced enough to push it to its potential. Best thing is that I was able to fly and not crash. I did take off the landing gear in order to belly land. The AS3X is clearly helping me keep the jet stable. Great technology.
All in all I find this to be an excellent EDF. It's durable and a lot of fun. Get it, you won't regret it.
First let me start by saying this model just looks beautiful. This is my first time flying a df model and i am impressed. Alot of people have said you need alot of room to fly this i dont agree with them since i flew this puppy in front on my house on its maiden flight i do not have to much experience with planes, and i flew this fine. in my opinion anyone that can fly a plane with 4+ channels should do just fine. This thing really picks up speed but it can still fly pretty slow just be carful on turns. At first i was a little scared to buy this because alot of people were saying it is a plane for more advance pilots, i dont agree because i dont consider my self to have the most experiance and i tore it up with this little beast. This and the um styker are my two favorite micros i have. One last thing this plane can handle the wind pretty good so i highly recomend it.
