Read First Before Buy Roadpro Replacement Deluxe Snackmaster RPSF 5234
Some of the bad reviews on this vehicle are questionable. I have owned one of these for the last month. It is a blast. It is a great entry car for a beginner or a kid getting into RC. That being said, it is also a very upgradeable car which can turn it into a racing or bashing animal for the adults looking to rip it up. The weakest links on the vehicle are the shocks, the dog bone rear axles and the steering servo. For $17 you can get CV shafts. For under $25 you can change your rear shocks to aluminum and put heavier weight shock fluid in your fronts and the vehicle is good to go. Lastly, a high torque servo upgrade is a must if driving in tall grass. Mind you, these upgrades are if you are looking to drive extreme. With the upgrades, I have jumped mine off of 5 foot drops and it soaks up the abuse like a champ. Go to youtube and watch some of the Evader abuse/bashing videos and tell me if it looks like the type of vehicle that breaks after driving 50 feet. If you are looking for a good vehicle for the price you should consider the Evader EXT.

This Roadpro Replacement Fan Motor for Deluxe Snackmaster RPSF-5234 Cooler/Warmer - Roadpro RPSMM, was bought to replace the burnt-out motor in another type of 12 volt thermoelectric cooler - an Igloo KoolMate 36. The unit's shaft was slightly shorter than the original Igloo motor's shaft but the two fan blades from the KoolMate fit easily on the RoadPro motor, and once the Igloo cooler was reassembled it worked perfectly once again. The RoadPro motor is quieter and more powerful than the original unit so the repaired cooler now actually cools faster yet seems to draw to draw less 12 volt current than it did before the fix. This is an excellent choice to return an older Igloo KoolMate 36 back to service after its original fan motor stops working.
BalasHapusI could not get a replacement motor from the Igloo people who made my cooler because of the age of my cooler. This was the only motor that reviewers said would fit. I bought one and it fit perfectly in every way -- bolt pattern, shaft sizes, electrical contact locations -- all perfect fit. Then I installed it and it was so much quieter than the original one. I tested the cooler to see if it cooled as well as before and it did. I couldn't be happier.
BalasHapusWas all that it was advertised to be. This will remain as back-up to original motor currently in electric cooler. Price was very reasonable compared to buying a new cooler.
BalasHapusI recently burned out the motor in my old Igloo Kool Mate 36 cooler and struggled to find a replacement. This one was recommended, and I installed it tonight. It works like a charm. The "inside" shaft is a little shorter than the original motor, but I had no trouble getting the fan blades to stay on.
BalasHapusLike some others here I bought this to replace the motor in our older Igloo KoolMate 36. The physical fit worked perfectly; I had no problems with mounting or with fitting the fan blades to the motor. The only catch I found was the direction of motor rotation--the motor I received ran in the opposite direction from the original in my Igloo cooler. Since this is a D.C. motor I simply reversed the motor's electrical connections (red to black, black to red) the change the direction, and it works great! I have excellent air flow both inside and outside the cooler.
BalasHapusWe've really loved our Coleman plug-in cooler which we've had for seven years, but recently the fan motor stopped working. The motor that is advertised as fitting the majority of the Coleman thermoelectric coolers (like the 5615/ 5232/ 5640/ 5641/ 5642/ 5644 models) is no longer available anywhere so I thought I'd give this motor a try since it looks so much like the one in our cooler. Amazingly it works on our 5640 cooler so I'm guessing it will work on any of the models listed as fitting the old universal motor. It is a little louder than the old motor, but it works great and we didn't have to shell out $100+ dollars for a new cooler. Success!
BalasHapusBought as a replacement for my Coleman cooler. It is a little noisier but it is a lot faster, so my cooler is cooler than it was before. I just hope, because it is so much faster that it still lasts as long as the old Coleman motor. It has a slightly thinner shaft and longer. I had to trim the longer end to fit the Coleman. Fill the fan shaft holes with epoxy and redrill for the thinner shaft. $26 and a little work beats $100 for a new cooler.
BalasHapusAddendum : It lasted from Nov. 5 to Aug. 10, a little over 9 months. I am a driver and this cooler is on 24 hrs. a day 5 days a week. The original Coleman motors lasted about 2 yrs. I just bought 2 more, hopefully by the time these wear out they'll have a better cooler.

BalasHapusI WAS IN DOUBT WHEN ORDERING BECAUSE I HAVE AN OLD 32QT COOLER THAT IS OBSOLETE FOR MOST PARTS.
I FIGURED FOR THE PRICE IT WAS WORTH TRYING.RECEIVED PART AND IN ABOUT 15 MINS HAD INSTALLED AND WORKING WITH NO MODIFICATIONS.IT IS MUCH QUIETER THAN OLD MOTOR. I DID NOT LIKE THE STYLE OF THE NEW COOLERS AND WAS PLEASED I WAS ABLE TO SALVAGE MY OLDER VERSION.
As mentioned it is a little louder but it keeps items much cooler. I may order another as a spare for the future!
