Best Review on JXD Metal Series Helicopter Gyro
Bought this helicopter on a whim just to see if they were as much fun as I heard they were. The answer to that is ABSOLUTELY! This is my first helicopter so I'm certainly no expert but this 50 year old is having a blast with this thing.
I've been flying it for a couple of weeks and am not very good at it yet so there have been quite a few crashes... into walls, furniture, appliances, the concrete driveway, trees, bushes, the side of the house .... you name it and I've probably crashed this helicopter into it. Not a single part has come off or even come loose. Nice to have the replacement parts though because I think I'm going to need them before I get the hang of it. So far though, this helicopter has held up remarkably well to my dismal flying abilities.
Also nice to have a charger to plug into the wall so I don't have to spend a fortune on batteries. On a full charge I've gotten 7-10 minutes of flying time. The lights on it are pretty cool but you can turn them off if you don't like them. I've flown it mostly indoors and a few times outdoors, although it is a bit more of a challenge to control if there's a slight breeze. I wouldn't attempt flying it outside on a windy day.
Bottom line ... it's more durable than I thought it would be, the price is right, and it's fun. Just buy one...you know you want to.
Very sturdy, you really have to slam it to cause damage, I have crashed it into many objects, as others have, and have no damage to date. It is far more stable and easier to fly than other micro-choppers I have tried in the past (I have easily broken two others while trying to learn to fly them). You dont need any special skills, just a delicate touch, which little children probably do not have. It is not great for flying outside if there is much breeze as it is very light weight, but indoors it is a blast, I enjoy chasing my dog around with it. The LED lights are very bright, and the trim adjustment works better than the other 2 I have tried in the past. Would certainly recommend this helicopter, especially as a starter.
BalasHapusGreat for kids. easy to use, and seems very durable. nice that you can charge the helicopter from usb port. would by them again.
BalasHapusTotally fun to fly, this thing is nearly indestructible! My favorite feature is the LED lights. Gave as a gift and it inspired quite the helicopter envy among the men in his family!
BalasHapusI love this toy. I don't know how many times I dropped this helicopter but it's still intact. This helicopter is very durable. My daughters and I had so much fun with this helicopter.
BalasHapusI bought this helicopter a couple of weeks ago and I'm very happy about it. It is much better then other models I've seen in action. It is very sturdy - I hit the walls and my desk quite a few times while learning to fly it but it did not cause any damage and it flies as well as before.
BalasHapusIt is very stable in flight, I mean orientation-wise. It may have some vertical rotation but it can be trimmed away easily from the controller. Altitude control is very sensitive and prone to pilot-induced oscillations while you are learning how to fly but you get used to it after few tries.
Battery life is decent - 5 to 10 min of flight with fully charged batteries. Big plus is ability to charge from a USB port. It can be charged from the controller as well, but I do not use it because it drains controller batteries very fast and the charge is not stable.
IR control link is very reliable. Initially I was hesitant about IR and wanted to get radio-controlled one, but this IR is not very sensitive to obstacles.
And LED lights are so cool!!! :)
IMHO, it is definitely worth 40 bucks
I have had this helicopter for around 3 months now and the only thing that had broken is one of the wings, but they come with extra. I love this helicopter, i have a collection of helicopters, even some around 50$, and this heli is better than any of them. It is a MUST buy!!!! Dont listen to the bad reveiws, this is an awesome heli.
