For all of those people out there saying how horrible this toy is they are wrong. It is excellent and fun. Setup time was nill maybe 10 min. The box says DO NOT FLY IN WIND. It isn't a gas helicopter so it wasn't designed for weather scenario ie wind. If you have space to fly this bad boy around ie a barn, closed warehouse, or a large enough room it is pretty fun and entertaining. It can be flown on a no wind day but that is hard to come by. The product is durable to a point. I got this and let my dad fly it straight into a wall, crashed it on the ground (straight fall from 10 feet), and the thing was absolutely fine. Now I wouldn't recommend doing this but it is pretty durable considering. Plus, if you were to break the fuselage or prop they can be easily bought on ebay or from a hobby shop for about 8 bucks. When flying the product get it off the ground and up in the air about 3 feet. It will stabilize there. If you are close you get ground effect or prop wash which makes it unstable. I am very impressed with the low cost of this toy. It is fun and provides 20 minutes of entertainment. The only downside is once dead it can take 3-4 hours to charge but great for a quick getaway. If you don't have a large area to fly indoors get the smaller Syma helicopters for about 20 bucks. But if you got the space take a ride with this guy. It is fun. I am very pleased and order a second one to give me double the flight time. Hope this helps.

  1. Okay..... well I am an experienced pilot and I fly Walkera flybarless heli's. Flying flybarless are fun to watch being flown in the house and when they crash it's heart breaking. I have spent well over 600.00 in replacement parts over my career just for one heli alone. Yes I could have purchased a dozen of the coaxials but I am stubborn. This Double Horse in my opinion is fun to fly in the house and crash after crash it still flies sound without waiting for replacement parts. Warning to buyers; You should fly coaxial helis like this one before you even consider a flybarless or more advanced heli. Recommendations: buy extra batteries for chopper and blades. Other than that it should handle well for the beginner. If you crash make sure you stop the rotors from turning to avoid damage. This goes for all heli's. Hope this helps you on your decision. Thx, Teddy

  2. I can't see how anyone would post any disparaging remark about this aircraft. I started out flying a 6 inch micro helicopter that my son gave me for Cristmas that cost him somewhere in the 20-30 dollar range. It was a lot of fun and that's why I have decided to step it up a bit. While the micro 'copter has given me hours of delight already, it has also frustrated me with the inability to trim it out and keep it trimmed for even separate maneuvers within a single flight. I just recently found a strategy that allows me to fly the thing around for more than 10 or 20 seconds at a time. Well, I saw the 9101 online and couldn't believe that it could actually fly like the videos portray it flying especially when you consider inexpensive this thing is for how big it is. It is huge! It is 5 times longer than the micro and probably 600% more massive. I thought that if it was any better at all it would be a brainless investment since it only cost me 10 bucks more than the micro cost my son. I can't describe the amazement that I have experienced with this helicopter. It flies exactly as the videos show it, and it trimmed out in only a couple seconds and held it there for the entire flying session. If it only lasted for the time I have flown it so far it would be worth the money, and I expect it to fly for some time to come. I would say buy this helicopter if you have some kind of experience flying any choppers out there and you won't be dissapointed.

  3. This is great for those who can fly the small Syma 3 ch helis and want to go outside. Keep in mind, this thing needs ZERO wind to fly, so early mornings and early evenings are it's times. It has a bright headlight and tail light so we even flew it at night once. It is quite durable, but any heli will break, it's the nature of the beast. It is HUGE! 450 size. I bought it for my son, as I am way past this stage, but he wanted something to bring to the field, he can fly at the end of the day when the wind dies down. Go easy on the controls in no wind and you can fly around quite nicely. A 4 channel at this size is really much better, but at under $50 (I paid $40), this is simply the best value out there in toy grade helis. Also, parts are available, which is a must!

  6. For this price 40 dararr you cant go wrong with this heli, the engrish on the box is a great comedic bonus. It is larger than the other tiny little rc helis, it actualy measures 30.5 in from tip of front prop to tip of rear rotor. There was a few things I did to mine to make it fly good like remove the decorative bars on the tail(balances it better), stretched the antenna out to the tail (gives alot better range), and I swaped out the balance bar, ordered one from dh 9077 fit right on. The stock balance bar is too big and heavy and often strikes the lower blades in any kind of turbulence or strong upward thrust, which causes the heli to plumet imediately to the ground. Some other people say it has no forward control without changing the rear prop, this is completely not true, maybe theyve fixed that prob or something. Mine flies forward just fine and even in some mild wind I can still fly it just fine outside, I simply set the controler to FAST and the rear rotor spins alot faster giving more forward thrust than on slow, Naturaly. It does take just a little practice to fly and I mean just a little. Coaxle helis are great to learn on cuz there so stable, but if your new be aware of the ground effect(turbulence created from main props disrupting flight when close to ground), when taking off get it off the ground quick, dont just slowly ease up, it will just tip over and beat up your wings, which I would buy at least 1 extra set of. Try to fly at least a couple feet above ground. You never no what color you will get, and also if you order parts from other sellers you may not get the color pictured, so be advised. I highly recomend anything fullfiled by amazon, it will come quickly and packaged very well. Amazon prime is great too, you get $4 next day shipping on this item which is sweet cuz that would normaly cost alot for something this size. For all the people who say this heli is junk, they probably just couldnt fly it, and are bitter about it, Id be sad too. I have never flown a rc heli before this one and after about the 4th or 5th flight I could fly it with ease. Probly not a good heli for little kids, and definately not good for in the house, unless you have alot of room. It does have lights on it and ive done most of my flying at night, which is realy fun and fun to watch. I highly recomend this product. I liked it so much I bought two, both work great.
