The T4.1 Brushless is amazing. My buddy has a T4 with a brush motor and NiHM battery and I can just about run literal circles around it. He goes full speed across the field and I can catch up to him, then full throttle it and pull away like his was standing still. The controls are crisp, the truck is sturdy, and if you get a LiPo battery with a good charger (about 130 bucks) you will be set. I've already had a couple gnarly wipeouts but this thing took it like a champ. They only thing, though, is the stock rear tires will only last you one outing if you drive it on any pavement. Invest in some nice tires. I just got back from a nearby parking lot and they are already balding and this is the second time I've taken it out. (I know, it's not really supposed to be an on-road car)
If you've ever considered getting into RC cars but the price has always driven you away, this should change that.
