Best Review on Littlest Pet Shop 32860 Control
I bought this for my son's 10th birthday. It's our first real boat. Folks, this is not a toy in the traditional sense. He's also learning to fly RC planes and has been having trouble with left/right as the plane is heading towards us. One of the club members suggested a boat or car to help get him acquainted. Might have gone a bit overboard but when we took it out for the first run, we couldn't believe how much fun it was. This thing is fast.
We followed the instructions for the best battery hook-up and went with a single 14.8V 5000maH connected direct with bullet connectors. We also added a strip of Velcro to keep the battery from sliding in the tray even though Aquacraft provides enough tie downs that you could tow a car if you needed! The workmanship is fantastic and the paint is fabulous. I put a coat of high-quality car wax on it and it simply looks stunning.
We bought the Rx-R version which I confused with RC plane that typically use RTF for "ready to fly". But Rx-R means "Receiver Ready" so we bought a Futaba 3PM, wrapped the receiver in high-quality latex and encased in a ziplock back. We just tucked it up along the right side next to the batter and extended the antenna toward the bow. Worked perfect.
Back to performance - as this is a race boat, I'm sure hardened hobbyists would say it runs pretty good. As for me an my son, we were absolutely stunned. Not only does this thing rocket to top speed (estimated 35-40 mph) in seconds, it will turn on a proverbial dime. It's actually hard to keep up with but you can slow it way down and just have fun too. The battery lasted us a good 10 minutes the way we ran it and on returning to shore, the motor and electrics were lukewarm. As we get more used to it, I'm sure we will run it harder but we had plenty of straight-run full throttle sprints in the mix.
If you are looking for a high-quality rc racer that is an order of magnitude jump from the stuff you might find at an electronics toy story, just get this thing. Order two of the big 4S Lipo's and some tape for the lid and you are set. The Futaba radio we bought worked fine out to about 100 yards but then you really need to be a few feet up in elevation for best reception. But that is far enough anyway.
My daughter received this a few days ago and loves it. I wasn't sure if the limited directional controls would be an issue, but you can control how far the car turns in a circle. This allows you to send the car in any direction without physically turning it. I'm 41, my daughter is 9, and we both had a great time playing with the it. My daughter loves filling it with Pet Shop Animals and driving them all over the place. It's a great addition to her Pet Shop Collection.
BalasHapusI bought this for my 5 year old daughter. I got it so she could play with her brother as he played with his own RC car. She loves the Littlest Pet Shop toys now more then ever. Car even works on carpet. Lots of fun and it doesn't seem to eat up the batteries either!
BalasHapusWith boys in the house always getting R/C vehicles, my daughter was beginning to feel left out. This is the perfect R/C for her and now they all have fun racing them through the house together. It's cute and works great. Plus she can put her favorite Littlest Pet Shop animals in it for a ride.
BalasHapusReally cute and works well. Wizzes around pretty fast on hardwood. Takes a bit of coordination for the remote, but she got the hang of it pretty quickly.
BalasHapusMy niece loved this toy. It's even a good toy to play with the pet cat. It's just a little hard to get it to turn. I give this toy five stars.
BalasHapusGreat toy. My Daughter loves it. Five stars. It was twenty bucks. Worth it. What else can you say. It seems durable and well made.
BalasHapusWhat no one else seems to be impressed by is the fact that it allows for a number of different settings, which is very convenient. Your child can set it so the remote control device:
(1) Just makes sound effects.
(2) Just drives.
(3) Drives and Makes sound effects, simultaneously.
My daughter figured this out right away, and loves it. She switches between settings, depending on whether or not she is loading "passengers."
Littlest Pet Shop toys are a favorite in my home. I couldn't pass this item up for my 4 year old. She loves being able to drive her little buddies around!
BalasHapusMy 6 year old Daugther love it,
BalasHapusIts very easy to use, you can put in The little petshops, an other kind of toys.
It fall from the stairs a couple of times and nothing happen so I would say it's very resistant.
It's very basic to use One button go forward, the other go side to side.
That's it have fun.
